Saturday night, the Los Angeles Younger Musicians Foundation hosted what was by far the most memorable installment of their Great Musician Series — a mashup of Kanye West and Beethoven entitled “Yeethoven.”

Led by conductor Yuga Cohler, the youth orchestra carried out a six-piece concert that incorporated this kind of unexpected combos as “Hold My Liquor” X “Symphony No.five, op. 67,” “New Slaves” X “Overture to Egmont, op. 84,” and “On Sight” X “String Quartet No. 14.” The crowd was loving it and gave a standing O at a single point. This will go down as 1 of the most lit orchestra concerts of the 21st century.
